Raleigh - Day 20

We all got a good night's sleep and were ready to start our day and explore the city of Raleigh.  After breakfast we decided to visit the Science Museum and had a wonderful time learning more about the world around us.  Tyler was in his element!

Outside the museum was a replica of the Liberty Bell.  Tyler's been interested in its history for several years.
The Museum offers several interactive labs... Here Tyler  has set a study skin of a mole on the interactive table to learn more.
In one of the interactive labs, Tyler looks at various animals under the microscope

We enjoyed the hands-on animal lab allowing guests to pull catalogued parts of various specimen to study.
We "met" this American Alligator during one of the staff presentations.

Lots of animal exhibits allowed Tyler to see several animals up close.  Here he is watching a turtle swim.

The museum also offers a large section on dinosaurs.

We all took a walk through the butterfly house.

Both kids really enjoyed the section on bugs.
We made it home later in the afternoon.  Although the hurricane is still somewhere over Florida / Georgia, its already been raining all day.  We decided to stay in for the evening so we ordered Hibachi from the neighborhood sushi bar and then hung out with some friends of the Adema's.

It was a great day today!
