Let the Hole Digging Begin - Day 15

The kids and I were up around 7:00 am so Sammy and I headed over to Starbucks to grab some coffees.  When we got home, I did my devotions while the kids played with their Legos.  Then we woke Scott up and made breakfast.

We worked on our Bible lesson and then discussed the Plagues of Egypt while Sammy took a break in her room.  We headed out for lunch around 1:00 pm and after waiting at Steak N Shake, finally ended up at Red Lobster.  We brought LCR, a dice game, along to help the wait and had a lot of fun teaching Scott.  Everyone had won at least one round before our meals came.  We gassed up and got a car wash on our way back to the condo.

Then it was finally time to head to the beach.  First thing, they started digging holes, as you do.  Then there was a stint of body surfing and boogie boarding.  And then back to the digging.  They had so much fun with Dad.  I had a great time as well, relaxing and listening to my book.

I think though the highlight for everyone was watching a pod of dolphins swim along the coast, not far off shore.  Everyone on the beach just stood there, mesmerized by their movements.

After showers we had a smorgus-board for supper, cleaning out the fridge of snacks and leftovers.  The boys and I watched Titanic while Sammy watched Angry Birds in her room.

Then it was time for bed.  Everyone is exhausted.   The temps made it to the low-80s today, at least 10 degrees cooler than it was been.  The afternoon was gorgeous!
