The Condo

In May of 2018 we bought our condo in the Margate Tower, a part of the Kingston Plantation, in Myrtle Beach, SC.  We have been staying in this same building every year since Tyler was born.  So many family memories have been made here that it just seemed right to finally own here.

We visited for 2 weeks after closing to enjoy some time together and make a list of items we hoped to change.  Then we contracted with a local builder to remodel the entire space... every surface would be changed or re-covered.

The work was scheduled to wrap up mid-October but ran a little later than planned.

Our unit is a four-bedroom unit on the 28th floor on the front corner of the building offering amazing views both up and down the coastline.  It has a large wrap around balcony that I absolutely LOVE spending time on.

We sold the condo in the Spring of 2024.  Its hard to put into words just how special this place was to us.  We watched our kids grow up through the years along those beaches and will never forget the many memories we made there.

The following is how a local realtor describes the property:

"The elaborately luxurious Margate Tower at Kingston Plantation may be the ultimate Myrtle Beach condo resort of them all. Said to be landscaped to resemble a Hawaiian resort, this 29 story high-rise certainly goes to every extent to convince you that you are somewhere beyond Myrtle Beach!

Picture large spacious rooms with nine-foot ceilings, oceanfront balcony access from both bedroom and living room, a professionally designed gourmet kitchen, stone countertops, wooden doors, private owners' storage rooms, covered parking, 4 high speed elevators, and a private owner's lounge for parties and meetings.

Owners can share the huge array of amenities at the Kingston Plantation complex, as well as restaurants and pools at the Embassy Resorts Hotel and the Myrtle Beach Hilton. It also has its own bi-level pool with a waterfall and hot tub. The activities and conveniences at the Margate Tower are endless."
