He's Finally Here - Day 14

What in the world can you do to keep two kiddos occupied when they are so terribly excited to see their Dad?  We did our best to stay busy but we were all eager to get to the airport to see Scott.

We had our normal morning routine and then spent some time doing laundry, dishes, and general clean up.  We wanted everything in tip-top shape before Daddy arrived.  Scott has not seen this condo before so we are excited to share it with him.

After showers and lunch, we prepped for the airport.  As we were leaving, we had trouble locking the back door and actually had to leave without locking it.  Obviously its not ideal, but I didn't think I had any options.

This was the first time I removed the bike rack since we arrived and it was heavy and greasy.  But we needed to open the rear hatch to allow space for Scott's luggage.

We made it to the airport quickly and moments after walking in, Scott texted that he had landed.

The kids were so happy... literally jumping up and down as they waited for him to appear.

After lots of hugs we headed out to the truck, made a stop at Dairy Queen and then headed home to the condo.  By the time we arrived, I heard back from the homeowner saying a locksmith was on his way.  He arrived around 5:15 pm and corrected the lock (its just worn out and needs replacement).

Then we loaded up to pick up our wedding cake from Crumb Buns at 6:00 pm and then stopped at Logan's for supper.

When we got home, Scott and I took a walk together on the beach... one of the very few times we've done anything in MB without the kids.  It was pretty busy on the beach but still nice and peaceful to discuss what's been happening the last two weeks.

We made it home in time to finish watching a movie with the kids.  Then it was bedtime.
