Sammy and I headed out to the boat with the coolers and the dog while Scott and Tyler went to church. Once the girls got the boat unpacked and settled and finished church online, I took a quick look at the forecast… it wasn’t promising.
As soon as the boys got to the boat we made sandwiches for lunch and decided to take a shot at heading south before the next round of storms came in. It was a bit of a bumpy ride but the kids stayed in the main salon with me and we watched a movie to help pass the time.
The trip took approximately an hour and 20 minutes because we lowered our speed to approximately 20 mph to make for a more comfortable ride in the swells.
When we arrived at Sergeant Marina in Saugatuck, the dockmaster came out to help us tie up in slip 53.  Then we took a walk to explore the shops downtown and ended with some Kilwins ice cream - yum!
After our walk, we dropped Coco off at the boat and then headed to the Butler for dinner. Scott had a burger while the rest of us enjoyed the steak… the garlic mashed potatoes were amazing!
Once back on board we enjoyed a couple movies before bed.
Saugatuck definitely did not disappoint. However the weather did put a bit of a damper on our time outside. Luckily we have another reservation here on Thursday night and the weather forecast looks beautiful.
