Boat Trip 2022: The Plan

Today, we spent the day packing and prepping food for the trip.  We plan to leave in the morning to load up the boat and head out.

This will be our first big trip out with our current boat, Endless Escape.  It is a 2018 Sea Ray Sundancer 400 that we purchased from Nevada in early fall of 2021.  Honestly, we were supposed to take this trip over a month ago but after delays for mission trips and COVID and work obligations, we've had to make some adjustments.  What was once a 10-day trip north has become a 6-day trip closer to home but we are still excited about what's in store!  We have decided to stay a little closer to home and explore some of the ports south of us on Lake Michigan.  Here's the tentative itinerary:

The first portion of the trip brings us south.  We haven't stayed at any of these ports previously so it should be lots of fun to explore.  After we return to Grand Haven, we’re picking up some guests who will join us for the final weekend.  We have a spot reserved at Ludington if the weather’s nice, but if not we’ll stay closer to home.  Our first time with overnight guests - that should be extra fun!

The weather forecast currently shows storms for the first part of the week so I'm not sure where we'll net out but if we've learned anything while boating its that flexibility is key!  So off we go on our next adventure.
