We decided to return to the Dominican Republic with the Wielhouwers for another relaxing vacation on the beach.

It was just after the first of the year when I booked the same three-bedroom, oceanfront unit in Marbella Towers that we stayed at in January of last year.  Again we used the Homeaway / VRBO website and worked directly with the homeowner Daniel Suarez.

You know how sometimes we can build things up in our minds?  A few months ago, I began to wonder if I have somehow exaggerated how great the first trip was... like maybe the food, activities, accommodations, etc weren't as good as I had remembered.

So instead of worrying, I decided to check myself and ask around.

• I asked Scott.  His immediate response... "Don't you remember how relaxing it was?"
• I asked the Wielhouwers.  They gave a similar response and added... "We cannot wait to go back!"
• I asked the kids.  They raved about the snorkeling and were adamant it was one of their best trips.

Ah, yes... my memories had served me correctly... it was and will be a GREAT vacation.

We cannot wait to get down there!
