What a gift to wake up and have my morning coffee with a few of the ocean with islands in the distance. We all have a routine on where we sit or what we do. This morning a quick shower interrupted our plans (for maybe 5 mins) and then offered this incredible view!
Today we are hoping to make it back down to the USVI and check in, but first make a stop along the way. So after a relaxed breakfast, we got underway and B put up the sails so we could enjoy some time sailing.
We anchored just off Little Jost Vandyke. And took a dinghy ride in to shore and took the short (1/2 mile) walk up to the Bubbly Pool.
Then B picked us up and took us across the bay to Sandy Spit which has to be the cutest little island I’ve ever been to. Annie and I saw a 3-ft nurse shark swimming along the shore. Then we all gracefully rebounded the dingy from the water and headed back to Blue Pepper.
Todd hasn’t been feeling the best today so he skipped lunch. So while the rest of us enjoyed homemade M&M cookies, he munched on some saltines.
Then we cruised over to Waterlemon Bay. It’s a gorgeous little spot surrounded by an old sugar plantation. The snorkeling is excellent and the goats on shore are a riot to watch come and go. But best of all, it was absolutely flat and we all needed a good night’s sleep.
The kids enjoyed the water while the adults enjoyed the company and view.
As the sun was setting, K served an amazing pasta dish with a sundried tomato cream sauce over ravioli with homemade focaccia bread. So delicious!

It was another beautiful day. So glad for all that we’ve been able to see and do! Hoping to stay put tomorrow and enjoy more of Waterlemon but we’ll see what comes.
